Title: Socket Power energy meter - Kiriakos Project DIY Holder for workbench
Post by: Kiriakos GR on November 16, 2022, 04:59:52 PM
Recently I did feel the need to have my Socket Power Energy Meter over a holder for an easy review of the measurements.
A week ago, someone trashed one aluminum cover of unknown product, and I did rescued it by the thought that I can reuse it at a future project.

Yesterday I thought to combine this find with an older find, and my new success story this is a beautiful DIY holder.

The unexpected was that specific Socket type power meter, this demonstrated signs of dying three days ago, very slow activation time (ready for making a measurement) when was plugged in.
Product display this is now active, but there is no voltage or current measurement.
My investigation show that IC this responsible for taking measurements this died with out this unit to be abused.

Here is a pack of teasers of my fresh DIY project.  :)
