Title: Less money for Fuses - FLUKE 8050A 8010A 8020A - Fuse BBS-3 replacement part

FLUKE bench top multimeter series 8000 ( Models range: 8050A 8010A 8020A ) these are equipment of 80s.

Within 2017 such meters they still have some value but at very few applications, I have all three and using them mostly as self powered volt meter and ammeter at 30V DC and lower (applications).

While features list this is different among its model in FLUKE 8000 series, what they all do have in common this is 2A ammeter function.
Ammeter line this is fused with Buss-Fuse / Littel-Fuse / Eaton BBS-3 HRC fuse.

Nowadays BBS-3 HRC fuse (3A) this is quite unpopular mostly because applications using these has been retired.  ;D
Even so pricing of such stock 3A 500V still this is high priced.

Now if you are a bit of adventurous and you wish finding an replacement fuse for these meters you will realize that there no alternative options.
But if you wish to invent a new solution? This would be to actually remove older fuse holder and to replace it with one pair of Fuse Clamp for 6 x 30mm (6,3 x 32 mm).
Such fuse clamp for PCB they come by for less than 2E for qty of 50.

Alternative fuse this can be SIBA  fast acting 6,3 x 32 mm 500V, this priced about 1 Euro per fuse.

BBS-3 HRC fuse specification (3A) this is 7A for 1 second.
Alternative SIBA fuse with close to identical disrupting time, this is series 70-065-63 and more specifically Fuse rate of 1.6A

I am seriously thinking to move ahead and spent about 11E for a pack of ten fuses, and also another 2 Euro for getting 50X PCB holders, and by finishing this conversion, I will never face again the challenge of buying overpriced fuses.
