Title: Vintage - Glenayre Electronics PS98 Variac 120V (1977 USA) Smart design !!

Glenayre Electronics LTD this now just a shadow, which existed in the USA at 1977.
Their sector was manufacturing of Communications Equipment.

Even so at 2020 I came across of a picture of their benchtop Variac:  Glenayre PS98
PS98 this is a variable AC/DC (Due Variac transformer) power supply.

The engineers behind this design they did a very smart work and you may select one among of six options:
A: Pair of black mains plugs, this is driven by Variac transformer 0~120 ACV coil output.
B: Variac transformer boost coil output this driving the white mains plugs = 0~137 ACV
C: 0~12 ACV step down transformer
D: 0~24 ACV step down transformer
E: 0~12 DCV
F: 0~24 DCV

The missing voltmeter indicator this is actually an ammeter, the scale of it it must be at 150 micro amperes or mA DC.
By such an analogue meter you may observe the range of  0~150V.
