Neutrik SpeakON connectors NL-4 Discontinued / High Power Audio Amplifiers

Since 90s Neutrik SpeakON connectors are used over High Power Audio Amplifiers.

High power audio amplifier, these are out of my own electronics servicing list of products, but a friend asked my help this week about one Studiomaster 1200d amplifier.
In order of me to test amplifier output, I had to purchase today a (Neutrik SpeakON style) connector, not original Neutrik.

From curiosity I did web search about that market segment, and I landed over Neutrik website, and I did the discovery that old connector mechanical design, which is with us since 90s, this is discontinued and this decision was taken at 2020.

2020 and newer Neutrik SpeakON connector, this seems as totally incompatible with the old.

From a technical and or consumer point of view, older Neutrik SpeakON connector, this is in production now from several Chinese brand, there is no risk at facing any shortages regarding availability.

But untraceable will remain Neutrik brand motives, of why they are trying to impose or force the use of the new connector design in the market?
They might succeed to find new customers, only at MADE IN USA manufacturers of High Power Audio Amplifiers, and these are very few.
