Something remarkable is the input jacks, if you compare it with modern meters , the difference is more than obvious. The security standards at past years was not so strict than today. You can see the metal part of the input so close outside with a very small insulated matterial. The things have changed now and the benefit  is the safety of the operator of the instrument.
