Two things bother-me when I do see the cheapest 1$ USD version.
Its seems very lightweight, and product build quality this is very poor..

I am always shopping rolls no greater than 250grm

I do not have any vote to cast for now, as they are about six different product design out there.
But if you insist getting one, the one with the flat base appears as more reasonable choice. 

ERSA, Weller, and another two brands has few high price offerings, while all other Asian products they have inferior build quality.
Its seems that there is no medium quality and price at that products market.

4,69 Euro reichelt Germany  (no shipping)

Average eBay pricing 10 Euro .... 
I bet that production cost this is 0.40 Euro.

What about other if any DIY alternative ideas?
No 3D printing toys, but rather something heavy and hard to be lost when this is parked over the bench.

I did sacrifice an very old and used three phase switch, and converted it in to something new. 

a) Industrial Solder Wire Holder Stand

b) Solder wire feeder and storage

c) Helping hands for wire to wire soldering

d) heavy weight holder for PCB inspection and or soldering.
