Title: Dissmann multimeter fuses ? Actually a poor choice and not Fast as needed.
Post by: Kiriakos GR on May 21, 2018, 10:59:02 AM
Dissmann this is not recognizable brand name,  neither description of product series.

A bit of investigation will reveal that behind Dissmann printing it is actually an Chinese factory named as Deer Electronic (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd.
This factory does not have any website, and finding fuse products actual specifications this is impossible.

Usually 5x20 ceramic fuses inside of low-cost multimeter, they are nothing different than generic fuses mostly used in UK (England) mains plugs for power cord fuse protection.
Therefore these are designed as AC Ampere fuse and not for DC Ampere.

While at larger HRC (AC / DC  Fast)  fuses, we do have several sources to select fuses from,  about 5x20 fuses only Littelfuse brand this has one offering of fast acting fuse at 500V operating voltage.

If your multimeter this is cheap or if this is a high-end model this assembled back in 80s (https://www.ittsb.eu/forum/index.php?topic=569.0)  , do not look for other source within 2018 other than  Littelfuse for replacement fuses.
