Auto-range causes to bar-graph to overshoot? Yes it does.

(1/1)

Kiriakos GR:
I feel lucky to have this Agilent U1401A portable calibrator in my hands.
By having such a tool next to me, it helps me to have a better understanding about small but significant details about the functionality of multimeters.

For example, how can you can test one power supply about overshooting ? if your meter overshoots by it self in the bar-graph just because the Auto-range mode causes this effect by it self.

The tip of the day will be to disable the Auto-range if you need to use the fast bar-graph as overshoot detector.

My review of  Agilent U1401A will delay a bit, but it will be something really different from what most people think by reading the word "review". ;)

Under test the Agilent U1272A / U1273A, FLUKE 28II, BRYMEN BM869.
