Since June 2021 Japanese government and the American government both agreed for a plan of collaboration this expanding up to 2030.

The plan includes side by side collaboration for:
a) The development and production of next generation power semiconductors, Japanese capital investment support this is now active up to 2025.
b) The development and production of energy saving electrical equipment, Japanese capital investment support will start at 2030.
c) Maintenance and repair concepts for all equipment used at R&D this gets active again (fresh made electrical T&M equipment will enjoy an much more extend life cycle).

Long story in sort, the Japanese government started the funding and support of this plan.
While the American side, it does promotes immediate collaboration of American companies with Japan.

The new concept, this is Japan to become producer of all components used at the production of pulsing power supply.
(next generation passive devices and mounting materials, coils etc)

LED technology: LED diodes, LED PSU both will be reevaluated and be further improved.

Development and production of Gallium Nitride (GaN) power transistors this is also among new top priority's.

In summary:
An new alliance were build, and this is now active, Japan and the USA will mutually benefit their financial interests and their industries.
The big loser will be the Chinese industries due the expected market share loss.
Next target the Chinese banking system, due American investors and funds these now moving to Japan and or back in the USA.
