Today shopped for new batteries for the DECT phone of my mother.
And my original thought was me to get classic Eneloop AAA  but them was not currently in stock (blister with qty of two) at the shop.
As alternative I though to buy these BK-4LCCE /2BE 550mAh and after testing them with my Ansmann LCD Check tester, in my surprise this measured only 50% of remaining charge level.

I am somewhat confused, these batteries are just six months old from the production line ??
For start my test shown that this communication as Panasonic describes it, about 70% retaining charge after 5 years, this gets more and more a myth.

Currently I am bench marking those new cells so to see if there is any energy storage capacity problems.

Somewhat it feels good that I did manage to verify that these battery cells them are according to Panasonic specifications speaking about energy storage capacity.

eneloop lite  BK-4LCCE Min. 550 mAh  Up to 600 mAh.

Naturally my Ansmann charger this is not a highly accurate capacity measuring device, but total accuracy it is not what I would expect from it, either way now I am at least convinced that those battery cells are not DOA.
