Keysight U1270 Series this is still my favorite, even now at the year 2025.
From time to time I do recommend at my friends, always looking eBay for any opportunity at used ones.
But I need to deliver a significant warning too.
They are two critical mechanical parts, that Keysight does not provide as spares.
First, this is the range switch assembly, round plastic with the attached copper bridges.
Second, this is the mini board, with the banana input terminals.
In the past 12 years, never succeed finding any source about these in the form of spare parts. :(
Some one at Keysight back in time, he did this planning, so these DMM to not be immortal.
The owners, which do careful handling of these DMM, they have much less to worry about.
The range switch by it self, this it is not prone to damage.
The banana input terminals / PCB, this will stay in good shape for as long, you are using quality test leads, and properly shaped banana plugs (these be manufactured by branded companies).
In conclusion, if you see for sale a DMM this be damaged as the one illustrated, then do not waste even a single EURO for it.
Buying a used, this be in a very good condition, this is a worth getting one.
