At the year of 2010, it was advertised the last ever charger, for Alkaline Manganese rechargeable batteries.
Battery Size AAA/AA
Rapid charger for 1-4 alkaline AA/AAA RAM = (Rechargeable Alkaline Manganese) batteries.
A micro-controller monitors each bay separately to ensure that each cell is charged effectively, and protected against overcharging and reverse polarity.
After charging it changes over automatically to trickle charge.
Max. charging current per bay: 400mA
This technology vanished fast, because of the battery cells poor potentials.
Its recharge this was stealing away named battery cell capacity, by allot.
At charging, the chemical reaction this was causing gas, eventually after a few recharge cycles the cells was becoming prone to leakage of fluids.
It is not a myth the rechargeable Alkaline.
But it was a specially designed cell, not comparable to regular Alkaline of our times.
The heroic brand which invested in this technology, this was AccuCell (origin unknown)
Long live the NiMH chemistry 8)
