Title: Beware of Panasonic ENELOOP Pro charger BQ-CC55E / BQ-CC55U
Post by: Kiriakos GR on October 19, 2025, 10:17:30 AM
Panasonic ENELOOP Pro charger  BQ-CC55E / BQ-CC55U, these appear to be a fresh released product.

Panasonic datasheet 4/2021
In Greece this charger it is sold with 4X ENELOOP Pro cells 2500 mAh.

This charger according to datasheet, this has two charging programs.
Rapid charge this supported with a single or up to two pcs of cell.
Normal charge this is supported at 3~4 pcs

The charger for AA it delivers a max of 3.2A
The charger for AAA it delivers a max of 1.2A

In theory the charging current this is divided, according to the number of cells.
Panasonic totally skipped to explain exact charging current per single cell charging AA or AAA

In theory AA mode four cells =  3.2A/4= 800 mA
In theory AAA mode four cells =  1.2A/4= 300 mA

Indeed when you buy high performance cells and charger both should be high performance
But beware to never use this charger for regular Eneloop at two cells mode.

Two pcs AA = 1600 mA per cell
Two pcs AAA = 600 mA per cell
Such charging currents they belong to red zone for all regular NiMH

You may skip my advice if you are working as contractor photographer, when productivity this matters the most.

This charger missing wrong polarity protection.

Number 02 active bay =  Left side second in the row
