At 8bit Oscilloscope we knew 1.5% as measuring error tolerance.
Nowadays all newer Chinese 12bit Oscilloscope they come with 3.0% as measuring error tolerance.
In theory, digitizing at 12bit, this it should deliver cleaner from jitter signals, these able to be measured with increased accuracy, than the older digitizing at 8bit.
Something smells bad here, and no one bother so to investigate the reasons.
I can only speculate, that domestic production of 100% Chinese design of ADC, they suck big time.
Chinese government this was and is, the main financial sponsor, so China this to develop and use exclusively made in China components.
From the other hand, I do not see the western public opinion, this to act with necessary responsibility, and to ban from it preferences all these equipment which come with inferior specifications.
An Digital Storage Oscilloscope, this is not a screen so to watch movies on it. :P
It ends to be a plain marketing hook, the promise that low power signals they could be measured with greater accuracy, when actual scope front-end, this comes with loosen measuring accuracy tolerance.
Its totally understandable, when such Chinese DSO products, they are made with inferior components, these not be able to deliver tight measuring tolerances.
This also explain the fact, of why all Chinese brands, they turned their back at independent product reviewers.
Since 2022 and this will continue and at 2026, China has no one at the western world, so them to talk to, when there is a new product developed.
My message to western youth and and hobbyist, you better stop asking around of why there is no product reviews about this and that.
China selected to walk alone, Chinese industries they follow the game dictated by their Chinese government, they have a major sponsor at their side, and they do not care of your money.
For western youth and and hobbyist, them aiming for a low cost oscilloscope, its wiser of you to research the market of used ones.
Anything this introduced at 2012~2018, this is still modern enough as a basic oscilloscope.
