Since the moment that I did decide to rebuild the battery pack of my GDS-320 at 2026, this translates that I will keep it for a long time.
Such a decision also translates, that due the power of this Blog, I will keep contributing basic tips, in favor of any owner's of this series of scopes.
GW Instek / GAP-001 this is power supply and charger for these scopes.
Originally, GW Instek, this selected an true reliable company so to make this PSU for them.
But due GDS-200/300 official discontinuation decision, GAP-001 PSU this appears also as discontinued.
Finding at 2026 an branded and of High Quality replacement this was not that difficult for me. :)
GAP-001 this is 12V 3.33A PSU, with a large barrel DC connector.
First alternative so to recommend, this is LITEON PA-1041-81 12V 3.33A 40W
Its not cheap, its fully certified, it seems marketed as power source for DELL PC monitors.
Its worldwide available.
It can be found as new or used, even it barrel plug its large and compatible.
I do not dare connecting any 8 Euro unbranded shit, at my expensive scope.

Due my motivation for finding PSU replacement, I searched my own lab today.
In Greece, a major brand of paid TV programs broadcast, it was delivering this AC-BEL AD8046 12V 3.33A, at all their customers base, with the decoder unit. :)
I did salvaged such a PSU, from a neighbor whom thrown away this paid TV package.
AC-BEL AD8046 12V 3.33A this comes with an unusual DC connector.
I did replace the connector with also used, but of high quality split-pin barrel type connector.
Finding an detailed datasheet this is close to impossible. :P
In order to gain confidence, I did test this PSU with my GDS-320, this operating for two hours.
This PSU stays as frozen all times. 8)
Photo gallery of my last successful adventure.
Note: My original GAP-001 PSU this is in perfect condition, but since today I have a spare too. ;D
