Title: FNIRSI DPOF1204 200MHz 1GSa/s Unrealistic vertical system specifications
Post by: Kiriakos GR on April 02, 2026, 07:29:24 AM
I have just tried to compare FNIRSI DPOF1204 vertical system specifications, as they are presented at FNIRSI website, and I crashed over a wall.

Originally I wanted to discover if such class of scopes, it can come any close to GDS-2000A scopes?

FNIRSI this gives a wild product specification.  :P
Overshoot percentage at 500ps pulse wave  = Less than 11%

AI told me, that hardware of this class of scopes it can only capture a single data point at such fast speed.
And therefore an 200MHz 1GSa/s scope this is unable to deliver any measurement at all.

FNIRSI this delivers further more unrealistic text as in-favor marketing points. :P
They even talk about +40% Vertical Offset in Waveform Viewing at 20MHz ...
Is this translates viewing 20MHz signal at vertical system setting for viewing 28MHz signal?

............................................

Quick conclusion, FNIRSI wild hope, this is that Blogs and forums might keep alive the buzz about their products.
This would be good for business, for their end.

I have a message for them, if your plan this is playing with meaningless text as marketing trickery?
