Here comes a fresh interesting find. :)
I just watched an unboxing of latest Keithley Nano-volts meter, among the accessories, pure copper test leads, and a small bottle of DeoxIT D100L
A Nano-volts meter, this using special on board connectors, something that looks as five times shrink down, of Microphone XLR connector.
And it appears that Keithley considers as essential, the use of DeoxIT D100L, as maintenance task, for highly reliable electrical measurements.
I have no clue of how (Tektronix) Keithley, this were convinced to adopt this product.
Did they run tests of their own?
Did they believe the marketing?
DeoxIT D100L this is not a European product, and this is neither in the economic class of chemicals. :P
This article its not an direct recommendation, in favor of DeoxIT D100L
But in case that you have time to kill, then feel free to find proofs, if it works or not.
I am extremely careful with my test leads, I always keep them clean and dry, and they will never need any special treatment for oxidized copper parts.

An new AHA moment, Keysight 34420A Nano-Volt/Micro-Ohm Meter ( 7 ½ Digits of Resolution ).
Keysight this is a bit more detailed about DeoxIT D100L, and also about using it.
DeoxIT D100L = metal surfaces protection, and works as microscopic lubricant.
LEMO connectors, they have tiny copper contacts, at such small items, you cannot use any cloth or brush as you can do with a ten times larger 4mm male or female banana. :)
So for electrical contacts maintenance, that the human hand cannot touch, electrical T&M industry this count on DeoxIT D100L.
And single drop of D100L this is enough.
For example, in the world of bench-top DMM and at 4mm banana plug's, you add a single drop over a male banana plug.
You insert this male banana, at FLUKE 8846A input banana plug, plug in and remove it at a count of ten times, and that's it = maintenance completed. 8)
In conclusion, us humans we look as huge giants in the world of LEMO connectors. ;D
For a minute I thought that oscilloscope BNC plug, this can also might gain a benefit from D100L, but no it does not.
Good connectivity at LEMO connectors this is of importance mostly at Micro-current sources and or at Micro-Ohm Meter.
At scopes and DMM, we measure voltage.
At DMM AC/DC current measurements, we measure large quantities, and a tiny contacts resistance this seems as unseen or invisible at the measuring circuit. ;)
An equivalent product to DeoxIT D100L in EU, this is any contacts cleaner with oil (spray bottle).
