Title: Multimeter Test Cable Connector VS Test leads 4mm Right Angle Banana Plug
Post by: Kiriakos GR on November 01, 2026, 04:05:32 PM
When a pair of test leads gets damaged at the Right Angle Banana Plug .. our first though this is us to fix it.
Our second thought this is us to find an 4mm Right Angle Banana Plug.

I do not have good news to share, Changzhou Amass Electronics Co., Ltd. this is the Asian factory of this 4mm Right Angle Banana Plug.

This part never designed to be a substitute of 4mm banana for multimeter test leads.
This is a Right Angle Test Cable Connector.

Every high quality multimeter, this comes with basic or high quality tests leads.
In both cases you will notice, the right angle plug, this not protruding that much when this is connected.
And in some cases, this right angle plug when is fully inserted, this will leave only 1.5mm as gap, from the body of the multimeter.

Test Cable Connector
This is an generic design, it takes it name according of the way that it routes the wire.
Right angle this is just one of the options.

Amass 25.504 series
This is designed to be a panel mount connector.

• Plug Type: 4mm Shrouded Safety Banana Plug (Right-Angle / 90° Elbow)
• Dimensions: 41 mm height, 40 mm total head length, and a 20 mm rigid protective insulation sleeve.
• Wiring Method: Solder connection (accepts up to 2.5mm² / 12AWG standard multimeter lead wires).
• Safety Rating: CAT II 1000V / Max 32A continuous current. ( indoor use )

ITTSB Europe comments.
Amass 25.504 series this appears as the economical way so to repair a pair of test leads.
But I am constantly hesitate to buy it.

a) The gap between DMM inputs and the plug this appears to be 7mm.
b) This is DIY part for indoor use only.
c) This supports 2.5mm wire, and usual test leads these are made by 0.75mm (strain-relief fit)
d) Retail pricing ....

Retail pricing in China mainland this is 0.17 ~ 0.24 cents EU.  (wholesales pricing 0.08 cents EU)
Lowest Aliexpress price = 0.75 cents EU.

As I said and before I am still skeptical, undecided.
I will simply add, few screenshots so and you to start thinking if this solution really worth it, instead of you buying a new and branded replacement pair of test leads.
An equal or better pair of test leads from what it came with you multimeter.

PJP 1067-R , this is also an equivalent to Amass 25.504 series.

Strain-relief design this seems to me as a bit awkward.
But it uses screw pressure so to secure the wire.
The gap between DMM inputs and the plug this appears to be 1.3 or 1.4 mm.

PJP 1067-x series, seems as is reusable.
But this assumption has to do with the condition of the material, I do not have proofs at hand.

Amass 25.504 series this can be assembled only once.
