Ebike Wiring Harness - massive fail rate - tremendously poor manufacturing

Ebike Wiring Harness and electric KIT for bicycle.

The history proved that trusting China, this caused enormous damage to westerns.
Ebike bicycle this is an concept boomed at 2014.
Several electric KIT were imported at South Europe.
100% of them came as unbranded, and nowadays we paying double price for our mistakes.

Ebike electric KIT, this was aiming transforming regular bicycle in to a more friendly vehicle.
pedelec (short for pedal electric cycle) this shown as innovation, and it does offer benefits.

This article will not focus at EV motor failure rate, because motor longevity this is related to driver and driving style, care and storage, maintenance cycles and other factors.

I did take apart today Ebike Wiring Harness, of my very own KIT.
This is named as electronic control wiring harness, a number of eight wires, they travel from the electronics controller up to the front side of the bicycle, steering bar.

I was very cautious, when selected my Ebike  KIT, all connectors they appear as waterproof.
Wire harness this appeared as well made.

What happened a few years later?
2015 ~ 2026 a number of four Wire harness failed, over a bicycle driven by an electrician.
THE electrician, is the most educated person on this planet about keeping alive electrical systems.
But then, how is possible, waterproof electric harness this constantly failing?

Today I did discover two major truths.   
Copper strands at its wire,  they are made of recycled copper, they have no mechanical strength, they fall apart due vibrations alone.
Just seven stands per wire, these unable to tolerate any basic mechanical stress.

The Chinese cheaters, they add lots of plastic insulation on top.
This has porous, no mater the waterproof appearance of the connectors, the outer sheath (cable jacket) insulation, this will eventually aloud humidity to enter in.

These wires at their two ends,  one side split in to multiple connectors, the other side usually has  seven or eight pins master connector.

At my current score of statistics:
Two harness failed due vibrations.
Two harness failed due humidity. 

In person,  I am somewhat happy, that I did not bother engaging at electric bicycle repairs.
This is a pile of unreliable electronics and wires. 

European Union created a new legislation few years ago,  NO MORE Electric KIT imports.
Only branded and factory assembled units, they can enter in to the European Market after these passing inspection.
This policy of importing traceable goods only, this eliminates the chances of consumers be fooled by all sort of scumbags. 

For us few, still having electric KIT based Ebike in Europe, we have now a number of three options.
a) Converting it back to regular bicycle.   
b) Buying overpriced spares from China of poor quality.
c) Start planning about buying a modern electric bicycle, from a European source with Pan European reputation.
