I am in favor of the adoption of ecological carton box for AA, AAA, and 9V batteries, but now we are facing a new problem.

The new problem this is products identification due photographs.

ANSMANN AG for example, this brand in the past 20 years, this did only three changes at product appearance and blister packaging appearance.
For any loyal customer, it was easy for him to search online for a new purchase,  and him to identify the newer from the older packaging among the listings.
Naturally all of us we aim for the newer packaging appearance, because this is a reinsurance that we will receive latest freshest stock.

ANSMANN AG at 2024, it adopted the carton box, and changed entire NiMH products appearance to white color.

From the other hand, we have thousands of on-line stores, and the 95% of them, they do not care to update products stock photographs.
Yes manual labor involved at web design, but some one has to do it and get paid.

An fresh web search for a specific product code, when you select images review, your will see a bunch of different images at the results.
And the non trained consumer he will go nuts.  ;D

When I seek buying batteries on-line, I am now forced to:
1) First to detect best price.
2) To make a phone call at the store, so to inspect if the owner he is still alive.
3) To talk with the sales person, and to confirm availability.
4) To ask questions of product appearance, and be aware of printed production date.
5) Then I do register as first time customer, and I am placing my order.

From the other hand, any on-line stores, them having a well organized website, and a permanent employ at website management, these will have much more chances to attract new customers.

Currently I have only few advice's to offer.

If you need to identify latest product appearance? Then just visit first the official website.
If you live in a big city, then first explore a few local stores, compare prices and enjoy your travel from store to store.
If you live far from large stores, then follow my example, combine web search with live phone calls, and in the end, you will succeed a victory.  :)
