Entire Chinese battery production industry, this has now it focus on lithium battery.

At 2025, it becomes obvious that the Chinese NiMH battery production, this is at hands of low-end factory and most of them are cheaters too.

At amazon.com they are today thousands of customer complains.
9V Rechargeable Batteries NiMH marketed for smoke alarm detectors, with a listed capacity of 280mAh, these found to deliver only 180mAh.

An second significant issue of cells with fake listed battery capacity, this is at charging, and the supplied charging current by the charger.
9V cells always had small capacity, this makes them sensitive goods, because charging and discharging rates these must be with tolerances of the battery cell, in order this to not be misused.

No-name 9V charger, this might deliver very high charging current...
An low capacity cell, this will get injured and or even explode.

Long story in sort, we have two problems, both begin due the purchase and use of No-Name products.

Best pack of advice's for Europeans.

We do not have many choices at buying 9V NiMH batteries these days.
Also pricing this is now totally unreasonable.

For the ones wising to be at the safe side, they should consider branded products only.
And for example ...  its best the charger to be of the same brand with the battery.
And or to combine a branded charger that you own, only with battery cells of another major brand, this known for 20 years at least in Europe.

Germany this is now flooded, by Chinese sellers whom unloaded piles of unreliable chargers.
Low-End chargers, circulate under a number of five No-Name rebrand at Amazon.
Under this chaotic condition, it makes more sense, shopping this to be performed from the old-fashion retail chain (face to face) physical shop.

Because on-line sales they are now under the control of scumbags. :P
