UTS-T01 USB to TTL Serial Converter., this is unbranded work, and stock can me found at Aliexpress.
Today I am having just a tracking number, but in time I will create a Mini Review about this product.

WCH designed CH343G so to sale it to anyone interested to design a product solution.
Waveshare brand ,this is also another one customer of WCH, and they are many more such customers at mainland China.

UTS-T01 exterior product design looks identical to Waveshare SKU 21550
UTS-T01 this also sold with the option of  USB 2.0 to USB-C adapter, and this is of what I selected.

Cable harness
2x Dupont Terminal (female header) 4 Pins 2.54mm pitch
Cables length offered with UTS-T01 : 20Cm
Its wire this is 26AWG and terminates to single female Dupont.

The idiot whom distributing it, he offer it with cables of identical color code.
Other than that, UTS-T01 this is able to do it job.

We have plenty of idiots at the Chinese village, neither Waveshare follows any western color coding.
Waveshare loves Red, Black, Yellow and Blue.

The Western     color coding this is:
Black   -  GND 
Brown -  CTS
Red     -  VCC   
Red - 5V
Orange - TXD
Yellow  -  RXD
Green  -  RTS


Now that we clear out the color coding, below I have added UART / TTL Pin Out Description, for any one interested.

CH343G this is fresh designed chip, its logical to be significantly advanced in all aspects when compared with older in design chips.

My tracking code this indicates that my UTS-T01, this moves fast at my location. 

I did install the latest package of drivers, the installer package this is well written.
Driver Installation progress bar, this behaved erratically, by working in super fast speed, but the installation when problem free at my Win7 64bit.


My extra option of USB-C to USB Female converter, this is a small scam.
Its supports USB 2.0, but inner plastic this is blue, this giving the impression that it support USB 3.0.
Only few sellers at Aliexpress they are honest, by saying the truth and selling it for  0.18 € a piece.

Not an actual unboxing, rather extraction from a nylon bag. 

You do learn allot by looking the label at the nylon bag with a magnifier.

Either way this is manufactured by: Rongbo Jiachuang Technology Co., Ltd. (Shenzhen)

My first negative impression so far, this is the red LED for PWR, this glow too much, and  the near by TxD LED hole this receives partial illumination. 
My Second negative impression so far, all three installed LED they might be RED. 

Problem Free hardware recognition by my PC, the preloaded at my system driver, this is now loaded and even this has Microsoft Signature for Win7. 

Last detail, when UTS-T01 this is plugged at the USB port, only the PWR red LED this glows.
My other TTL converter, at power on, it does some sort of diagnostic, all three LED comes on for one second of time.

Reset-able PTC Fuse = equivalent to 1206L075TH  ( 8V , 0.75A 20C / 0.65A 40C / 0.59A 50C )

DC Power due PC USB port  5.088V  15.6mA (No TTL connection)
VCC 3.3V = 3.258 V (No load)

I always accept a good advice,  but Kiriakos had one last plan to fulfill
In Europe we use Green LED for PWR On and Red for Stand-by. 

LED consumption this is 6.5mA
Due circuit DCV supply per LED = 2,020 V

 
About UTS-T01 plastic case, this is made of dark brown but transparent material.
This aloud any active LED to pass 25% brightness at the side of the unit.

I have also put in good use the WCH software COMTransmit V1.60   

Windows driver 3/2025, this tested and it works problem free at Win XP 32bit !

I do prefer too, Kiriakos upgraded version.  

This product it does need a manufacturing level touch up:
1) An green LED for PWR
2) 5V and GND wires these to be upgraded  from 26 AWG to 24 or 22 AWG

Power consumption due PC USB port, this is excellent!

Delivered photographs they are excellent too,  the Olympus C2100 still does a great job.

What other this is actually missing from this product,  this is a high quality USB 2.0 Type A Female to Male / extension cable.
This cable must be 1.5m long with 28 AWG + 24AWG pairs of wires.

I took me ages so to understand the appropriate PC connectivity method.
This thing has (non shielded) DuPont style connector and wires from the one end, its unreasonable to extend these wires more than 40cm.

Neither Waveshare and neither this Chinese factory, they do not offer such a USB extension cable.
And in theory, the customer he should look up the marketplace for finding one.

The major problem this is now, that 95% of USB extension cables they are made by 28AWG.
Fewer USB cables might have 28/26 AWG.

1.5m or 2.0m  28/ 24AWG this is almost impossible to be found.
Therefore any one seeking perfection, he should go DIY, with elevated costs.

28+24AWG cables can be found at 3m or longer lengths as assembled products. ( 6 ~ 8 EUR retail)

Today placed my order, for new connectors of the appropriate type for Low resistance, cables assembly.
10x Male plus 10x Female connectors at Aliexpress,  they will cost 2.86 Euro shipped (as best deal 30% Off).

(Some cheaters selling low power connectors for PCB, as these be equal for cable assembly)

I have good news to share about UTS-T01 USB to TTL Serial Converter, and about it 5V input / 5V output rails.

I was after investigating USB 2.0 cables electrical loses, then I thought to measure and discover any loses caused by 5V input / 5V output rails, over the converter PCB.

In theory, USB 2.0 positive DC line, this connects over the PTC fuse, and then it continue it path up to Dupont style of male connector (output).
Up to 240mA of DC current,  the circuit over the PCB this shown as lossless at causing a tiny voltage drop. 
PTC resistance this is also very low.
Total circuit, PTC along PCB tracks resistance, both have a measured impact of less than 5 mV at 5.0V DC.

Therefore I am turning back at my starting point, at investing best quality of USB 2.0 Male to Female extension for my application.
