Fluke 8845A/8846A
OLED LCD Display replacement on Aliexpress - Year 2026
It was expected that one day, someone will invent a hack, so these DMM to be able to operate and with one OLED LCD display.
Nowadays at February 2026, there is availability
of first experimental product, at Aliexpress.
And yes this is experimental, the in use OLED screen this is somewhat wider and taller than the Glass display.
1) You have to trim DMM plastic face-plate window dimensions.
2) This OLED LCD Display it is tested with 8845A only .... at 8846A they might be issues with correct appearance of pixels at some functions.
3) This OLED LCD Display has a fixed brightness ... DMM side this should be adjusted at medium brightness, all times.
4) The brightness is darker than the maximum brightness of the original screen.
For the price of
€108.56 you get only the
OLED module.
This translates
that you have to deal alone, with the relative work of original glass module desoldering, and soldering back of the new.
Any mistake at desoldering, this will destroy original PCB.
Product available for us in Europe due, Aliexpress | Shop1104706190 Store | This active since March 2025.

Speaking of preference, I cannot imagine having on my 8846A, such an experimental OLED LCD Display.
I hate OLED, LED diodes losing brightness much faster than anything else.
OLED has
slow refresh, it causes digits Ghosting, U1273A this could do seven measurements per second as best.
These Fluke 8845A/8846A they are much faster beasts.
The original Japanese Glass module for 8845A/8846A, this is available in Europe due NORITAKE (Japan)
EU team.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
At my eyes, this Asian offering, this is
a outrageously overpriced experiment.

If you add the original 8845A/8846A external
display filter, OLED brightness this will be further decreased.
At ITTSB I do record history dates of innovations, by 99% only of the worthy ones.
This one is at 1%, of experimental innovations.
And I did steal listing photographs, so to share them with our ITTSB Europe Blog readers.
