HIOKI Resistance Meter RM3542A / RM3545, they both drift when 0ADJ this is activated by the user.
For several years I thought that HIOKI will come around this issue by a firmware fix.
But they did not.
RM3542A with original test leads, this operates by default with 0ADJ OFF.
The measurements they are always spot on, and you get the feeling that HIOKI somehow tweaked or matched their test leads, so them to be a perfect match with the instrument.
What is 0ADJ ? This is equivalent function to Relative / REL/ZERO.
In theory the user can perform this REL/ZERO so him to remove resistance if he uses extra long test leads.
Another reason might be of you using kelvin wires from another maker, and you are after of a perfect REL/ZERO.
At my latest chat with HIOKI (past month), I did realize that even after 11 years, they did not do anything about it.
And today I spotted accidentally YouTube footage of RM3545, this also showing (demonstrating) proofs of 0ADJ drifting.
Within the first 10 minutes after 0ADJ, this instrument will add up, 20 up to 40 counts, at lowest Milli Ohm range.
Due this topic, I wish to also confirm from my end, that 0ADJ drifting this never got fixed.
