Who makes the electronics of Ansmann NiMH chargers ?
This was my fastest to discover information in my life time.  :)

Ansmann product catalog 2020,  this mentioning ANSMANN ELECTRONICS CO. LTD. Address in China.
Da Lian Industrial Park, Rengtu, Ruhu Town Huicheng District, Huizhou City, Guangdong

Minwa Green Energy Electronics Company Limited
www.minwa.com.hk
Address: Rengtu (Dalian) Industrial Park Ruhu Town, Huicheng District,Huizhou City, Guangdong Province 516169, P.R. China

Minwa and or Mean Well this is now so happy due the manufacturing of custom in design chargers, which this shrink their own NiMH chargers line-up, from thirty product codes down to only six.   :P

There is a mountain of user complains about Ansmann NiMH batteries life cycle and about their chargers, and this brand does nothing to improve their products.
How many thousands they have to complain about the tiny display over the Powerline Pro models?  Tiny hard to read fonts.

Most to all of their chargers, they have aggressive charging current for AA NiMH.
They had discontinued Energy 8 model, the somewhat price friendly charger in comparison to high priced Energy 16.

This brand makes one step at the right direction and several more in the wrong way.
I am starting to believe, that Ansmann AG management, this is in the hands of Chinese too.

They simply do not care to invest at new R&D, and to lead the market with the offering of fresh technology.

I had a conversation with Ansmann AG this month.
They did admit that they had several incidents of quality control problems at their, Powerline Pro models.

First Powerline 4 Pro this is R&D of 2011~2012, thirteen years later, they did not come back with anything better.
Energy 8  &  Energy 16 this is R&D of 2003.

Minwa this is not in position to lead at charging technologies, they follow their government plan, all electronics in China will include 100% made in China parts.
Since when China this is a global leader at Micro-controllers R&D ?

I am not a rich man, most of my ANSMANN chargers, I did buy them as damaged and I did repair them.

At 2026, I am planing to adopt old style of constant current chargers, with modernized switching PSU.
Old designs of Minwa chargers, they use copper transformers, they generate too much heat even for be powered up.
I do not like to have such a heat-source at my chargers.

My own engagement with electrical test and measurement instrumentation for 13 years, this acted as powerful awakening to me.
Now I am able to see of how tremendously poor is the documentation of ANSMANN / Minwa chargers.

We do not need any more, High speed chargers, these be batteries exterminators.  :P
Especially when these days the cost of high quality NiMH this is at the high side.

From now and on, I am going to use NiMH chargers, these not stressing my batteries when charging.
Its more cost effective for us to adopt, fresh chargers them designed for standard charge.
