Who would ever thought that Realtek R2.83 High Definition Driver of 8-2024, this is a plain
bad joke after all.

Several high end motherboards of Gigabyte they came with Realtek ALC898.
Up to driver release of R2.81 5-1-2017, driver 6.0.1.8036, everything looked good.
Dedicated Realtek console this was loading and it auto-start at taskbar.
Past year, Realtek released
R2.83, after several years of inactivity.
This 400MB file a download monster, this has no upgrade benefits for Win7,Win8.
It uninstall Realtek console, it reinstall R2.81 5-1-2017 driver.
Its simply a bad joke.
Realtek R2.81 this is
last ever made driver, this respecting the functionality of Win7,Win8.
Unfortunately this version it is missing from Realtek website.
I have a working copy, driver filename
0008-64bit_Win7_Win8_Win81_Win10_R281.exeSearch, find it, and never look for another update...
Realtek this is not the only one, which crippled Win7,Win8, due a newer driver release.
For personal use I have collect over the years, a copy of best drivers, for any motherboard that I own.
I am now immune, to what ever plans has the industry against my PC hardware and software.
Note for underage youth.Realtek Audio console, this is installed automatically due
Realtek R2.81 Realtek Audio console at R2.83, this is installed but not running at Win7,Win8.
It might work at W10 only?
But the point is of what good the console can do alone?
When there is no newer driver update?
It might be a possibility, a newer driver to be loaded for W10 only ...
In this scenario Realtek it should make a driver package for W10 alone, instead wasting our time.
