WD-40 Specialist Contact Cleaner this is part of latest WD-40 Specialist series.

Fellow electricians working in the field, they might find it as useful.
WD-40 advertising campaign alone, this suggests use in applications:
Large electrical connectors over vehicle.
Car battery terminals.
Rechargeable tools battery terminals.
Wall mount switches.

Experts electricians they are well aware that chemicals, these can restore bad electrical connections up to a point.

From the other hand, for us performing electronics repairs, we are dealing with special applications, in which we use more than one Contact Cleaner spray.
And or, at least three different type of Contact Cleaner spray.

I have not test this WD-40 Specialist Contact Cleaner spray, in theory this works as sanitizer against pollution factors.
Its not a lubricant, it does not leave residue.

Close competitor this might be Teslanol fine-cleaning spray SP

And definable KONTAKT CHEMIE Kontakt 60, this is a different class of a product.
General purpose with oil, cleaner and lubricant.

Indeed  the market of specialized chemicals, this causes significant confusion to end users.
You need to always remember of what its one this is designed to do.
By using the wrong product type, most of the times your expectations will be double crossed.

An good example, this often causing confusion, this is the contact spray with oil.
The major promise this is microscopic level lubrication, a tiny protective film.
While even if such a product, it does deliver it promise, this is inappropriate as lubricant of a small DC motor.
And also it is inappropriate as lubricant for a potentiometer, which this is a carbon based pad.

The only real life test, for this class of products so them to demonstrate performance, this is their promise keeping humidity away.
If you use such a product over motorcycle harness, and contact clips continue corroding, then you have a fake hero at your hands. ???

In summary, for a fair comparison between chemical products, an deep read of product datasheet, this is the only way finding the truth about them.

The chapter of spay lubricants, this does not relate to contact cleaners.
There is not any ALL IN ONE product out there.

Note: Best advice for any contact cleaner,  give it 15 minutes to evaporate before applying power 240 / 390V AC

The problem with these products, this is availability.

Regular hardware stores, they do not stock WD-40 Specialist Contact Cleaner spray.
Regular warehouses electrical supplies, they do not deal with WD-40 so to get stock of a single product.
