My trusted Samsung Galaxy S5 G900F, IP68 phone with exceptional Super AMOLED screen, this suddenly shown motherboard damage.

My Galaxy S5 G900F, with original screen and IP68 shields intact, it suddenly become silent.
Local mobile phone tech, tried to open up the phone, he destroyed the screen, after getting inside, the verdict is that the motherboard this quit delivering sound at  ringer loud speaker.

The broken screen this were replaced by no-name spare, the phone came back to life, but there is no fix for the sound, a new motherboard this is now required.
This phone came out at 2014 and I fall in love with it key features,  IP68 , replaceable battery, high contrast screen.
I got my phone used from eBay EU at sweet price three years later and I am looking after it for about ten years.

Long story in sort, this week I started looking for a modern replacement and in my surprise I did discover Samsung Galaxy XCover series.
Forgive me I do not follow mobile phone fashion, and all about Galaxy XCover series this is news to me.

At my first due internet search lookup, I did searched for specific details, that matters to me.
And I got impressed ...

Samsung this made significant changes at XCover series product design.
In my focus are Galaxy XCover 7 and XCover 8 Pro.

Both phones are IP68 and they can tolerate total immersion to water at 1.5m depth for 30 minutes.
Large screen,  not that high contrast as it has a Super AMOLED screen.
User replaceable battery.
Rugged according to military specifications.

The unseen product design changes:
Samsung this is limiting battery charge speed to Normal and Fast,  and or unjustified super Fast charging this is not supported.
This translates to a supreme measure this assisting battery cell, this lives longer.
Approximately an equal charge rate as it was at Galaxy S5 G900F.

Screen replacement and phone servicing, everything now appears easy, screen module it can now removed with less fear of destroying it.

Fully waterproof charging port ( new connector design), another excellent choice.

No more worries of charger and phone compatibility.

XCover series this is compatible even to latest EU requirements, User replaceable battery and universal charger support.
In other words this is EU ready series, prior EU become strict in legislation.

Last detail of also highest importance to me, Samsung Smart switch software, I hope for an easy transfer of customer contacts due local file backup made by my Galaxy S5 G900F, at the new phone no matter actual model, that I will select in the end.

This is the first wave of my inner thoughts, and I will keep adding more,  because the switch from Galaxy S5 G900F  to latest XCover series this is not painless.
Previews paid Wireless charging accessories, true leather carrying bag,  and dedicated original Samsung chargers, all they should be now left behind.  :P

While all latest buzz is about XCover 8 Pro release in Europe, I just discovered that SAMSUNG totally forgot to manufacture the most essential accessory.  :P

XCover 8 Pro, this is designed to use  USB Version 3.2
XCover 7 this is designed to use USB Version 2.0

Currently there is not available from Samsung,  a cable  this supporting  USB 3.0A (male ) to USB-C and this supporting USB Version 3.2

Will Samsung deliver such a cable within the packaging of XCover 8 Pro for Europe?

----------------------------------------------------------------------
In the market of third party accessories.
HAMA 200652    ( HAMA 00200652)
This is  USB-C cable with USB-A 3.2 GEN.1  Support | 1.5M length | Black

In other words, today this HAMA 200652 cable it might considered as first accessory compatible to XCover 8 Pro.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

For Galaxy XCover 7, they are two known part codes as genuine Samsung cable (USB 2.0).
EP-DG930IBEGWW
and
EP-DG930MBEGWW = quantity of two cables in one package

Samsung Galaxy XCover 7 | XCover 8 Pro -  Bluetooth support

Galaxy XCover 7 =  Bluetooth v5.3
Galaxy XCover 8 Pro =  Bluetooth v5.3

Galaxy S5 G900F =  (Model SM-G900F) uses Bluetooth v4.0

For us electricians,  electrical T&M industry this developed a tiny amount of data logger APP.
And it is of significant importance to me,  if I succeed using the App of Keysight Meter Logger for Android (2017) at the latest Android 16.

Indeed  I am staring to believe,  for a successful transition from older Samsung phone to a new,  web research of few hours this is not enough.
I might need several weeks of time in research,  so to gain enough confidence about making my next move.

AI in to rescue:
Architecture Mismatch: Android 16 (and its immediate predecessors) only runs 64-bit apps.
Because the Keysight Mobile app was built as a 32-bit architecture, it will crash or fail to install entirely on modern Android versions.
