I have a fifteen years old laptop, and using also external monitor (ViewSonic) with on-board speakers.
I came a cross of an issue, sound output ->
Volume, this seemed as unable to become powerful enough, by using original software enhancements, of
Conexant SmartAudio HDI have just become aware, of
Equalizer APO this is an very old project this staying alive up to date.
Requirements:- Windows Vista or later (Windows 7 - 11 have been tested)
- CPU architecture x64 (64 bit), x86 (32 bit) or ARM64 (on Windows 10/11)
Outcome It works !!
There is a basic graphic interface "C:\Program Files\EqualizerAPO\Editor.exe"
You can
tweak once -> Module
equalizer, no need to tweak other modules inside.
Once max output this is equalized according to actual speaker system capabilities.
You will enjoy 30% of volume boost.
Do not overload your gain over than +22db (in total), hardware limiter protection will activates, and sound output will begin turned off completely at such overload events.
I discovered that I can push safely up to
+20db (in total).
Under the hood, Laptop motherboard this has limits so to not be able to
overdrive headset output.
ViewSonic VA1912W, this has amplifier and speakers, at balanced specifications, as another
overdrive protection.
Fine tune due Equalizer, this assists all electronics them increasing Volume output, by you trimming down any energy this is consumed by unwanted frequencies.
